Disaster Planning

We never know when a public health emergency or disaster might happen. Whether the emergency is a hurricane, accident, flood, terrorist attack, or illness such as pandemic influenza, there are steps that everyone can take ahead of time that can lessen the impact when an emergency happens.

Taking personal responsibility for your own safety by being prepared not only helps you during an emergency, it also helps our first responders, emergency management services, fire fighters and law enforcement.

Being prepared means more than knowing what you should do. It means you have an emergency kit prepared. You should be able to quickly collect medicines, important documents, photos and other necessities within minutes if you should need to leave your home.

Disasters such as pandemic influenza may seriously affect our jobs, schools, churches, available grocery items, and other resources that we normally take for granted.

This website and additional links are designed to help you prepare for any emergency. Additional information and links will be added as available.
