BCTV - Channel 2

The Buncombe County Government Channel was established to provide County residents with a constant connection to the activities and services of their government. Programming responsibilities are managed by Judy Rhew.

The Government Channel BCTV is broadcast on Channel 2 on Charter Communication System. Those who don't have cable service can view the meetings via the internet by going to the "OnLine Streaming Video" section of our website.

County Commission meetings can be seen on BCTV on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00pm., Wednesdays at 3:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. following their meetings held the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Various other programming produced by BCTV which includes several exercise classes, "Parks Alive", "Rabies in Buncombe County", "Illegal Dumpsites and Four Corner Clean-Up", and other videos acquired by BCTV from departments can also be seen.

We anticipate the Government Channel will grow to become an integral part of the information sharing process between County Commissioners, staff, and the citizens we serve. The information and programs on BCTV will provide you with an insight to the workings of County government and an opportunity to feel more involved in the decisions of your elected officials and the many departments that serve the citizens of Buncombe County.

Please visit BCTV often and let us know what you think. We welcome your comments and suggestions.

Note: A copy of each meeting is available for check-out from Pack Memorial Library and Fairview Branch Library the Friday following the Tuesday meeting.
