Traveling from I-40 East

From (Raleigh/Statesville) Interstate 40 West, take I-240 West at Exit 53B to downtown Asheville. Travel I-240W and exit at the Charlotte Street Exit 5B. At the traffic light, head straight across Charlotte Street onto Orchard Street. At end of Orchard Street turn left onto Central Avenue. At the next intersection with Woodfin Street, turn left onto Woodfin. The Buncombe County Health Center (35 Woodfin Street) is on the right side of the street.

Traveling from I-40 West

If traveling east on I-40, take I-240 East at Exit # 46, heading into downtown Asheville. Take the Merrimon Avenue Exit. Once you exit, keep straight at the fork towards Woodfin Street instead of bearing right to go on to Merrimon Avenue. At the traffic light on Woodfin Street, turn left. The Buncombe County Health Center (35 Woodfin Street) is on the right side of the street.

Traveling from South or the Mission Hospitals Area

Take Hendersonville Road (Exit # 50) from I-40. At Biltmore Village, continue to the right along Biltmore Avenue, past the hospital and into downtown Asheville. Make a right turn onto S. Charlotte Street. Continue through two traffic lights and make a left turn onto College Street (at TK Tripps). At the Round A Bout, take your first right onto Woodfin Street. The Buncombe County Health Center (35 Woodfin Street) is on the left side of the street.

Parking:

The Buncombe County Health Center is located at 35 Woodfin Street, Asheville, NC beside the Renaissance Hotel and across the street from the YMCA and First Baptist Church. Parking is available for visitors and patients in the Health Center Parking lot in front of the Center. Additional paid parking is available across the street at the First Baptist Church and on several adjacent City streets (parking meters).

Please note: The City of Asheville monitors and issues tickets for parking violations in our parking lot and on City streets, so please note the appropriate areas to park.
